The chooser's guide · No fluff

How to choose the best personal trainer in Parramatta

'Best' is a claim every trainer makes and no trainer can prove — so here's the checklist we'd give our own family instead. Five questions that separate professionals from salespeople, the red flags that predict a wasted six months, and — since it's our page — exactly how Rippd Fit answers each one. Judge us by the same test you judge everyone else.

The five questions

Ask every trainer these — including us

1. Do they screen before they program?

A professional assesses your movement, history and health before writing a single session. If your first session is a random workout, your program will be too. Ours: full screen, week one, always.

2. Do they measure results on a schedule?

'Trust the process' isn't measurement. Ask when and how they re-test. Ours: every 12 weeks — strength, waist, and the numbers you came in to change.

3. Is the pricing public?

If you have to sit through a consult to hear a price, the price is negotiable and the model is pressure. Ours is on every page: $199 online, $320 in person, $480 hybrid, monthly, no lock-in.

4. What happens when you're injured or unwell?

The answer separates trainers from clinicians. Ours: programs are written by an Exercise Physiologist, so injuries and conditions get programmed around, not ignored.

The method

Screen. Prescribe. Re-test.

No template programs. Every client starts with a full movement and health screen, gets a program prescribed to their body and history, and re-tests every 12 weeks so progress is measured — not guessed.

01
Screen

Movement assessment, training history, injuries, and — where useful — bloods. We find out what your body actually needs before writing a single set.

02
Prescribe

A program built for you: exact exercises, loads, and progressions, adjusted week to week in the Rippd Fit app whether you train with us or remotely.

03
Re-test

Every 12 weeks we re-measure — strength, composition, and the numbers you came in to change. The results tell us what the next block looks like.

Red flags

The four warning signs of a wasted six months

Long lock-in contracts sold hard on day one — confidence in results doesn't need a 12-month cage. Before-and-after photos with no timeframes or methods attached. A program that looks identical for every client. And any trainer who promises a number per week — bodies don't sign contracts.

The fifth, quieter flag: no free or low-risk way to try. Coaching is a relationship; you shouldn't have to marry it on the first date. It's why our first four weeks are free, with no card — if the coaching is good, you'll know by week two, and if it isn't, you've lost nothing.

Questions people ask

Honest answers first

How much should a personal trainer in Parramatta cost?

Per-session trainers in Parramatta run roughly $60–$120 a session — $500 to $1,000+ per month at real frequency. Monthly coaching models (like ours: $199 online, $320 in person, $480 hybrid) usually deliver more contact for less money. Whatever you choose, the price should be public before anyone asks for your number.

Are qualifications worth checking?

Yes — minimum Cert III/IV in Fitness for any trainer; a university-qualified Exercise Physiologist matters if you have injuries, conditions, or a doctor involved in your health. Rippd Fit's programming is EP-led.

Is the most expensive trainer the best?

No correlation in either direction. Judge on screening, measurement, and whether their clients a year in are still improving — not on price or Instagram followers.

Group training, PT, or online — which is best?

Whichever you'll still be doing in six months. PT progresses you fastest, online is the best value if you're self-driven, groups are the cheapest accountability. We offer PT, online and hybrid — and will honestly tell you which fits.

Why should we believe your answers on your own page?

Don't — test them. The five questions above are verifiable in one conversation, our prices are printed, and the first four weeks are free. The checklist works on us too; that's the point of publishing it.
